Tesamorelin ships as a lyophilized powder, so a vial's mg amount alone doesn't tell you how many units to draw. The water volume you add sets the concentration, and concentration is what turns a target dose into a syringe reading. The reference ratio

Reading the chart against a specific vial
Worked example. A 20 mg vial mixed with 2 mL of water sits at 10 mg/mL. A 1 mg dose from that vial is 1 ÷ 10 = 0.1 mL, or 10 units. The same 1 mg dose from a 10 mg vial mixed with 1 mL — also 10 mg/mL — is also 10 units. What changes is how many 1 mg doses each vial holds: the 10 mg vial holds 10, the 20 mg vial holds 20.

Common mistakes
- Assuming vial size sets the dose. It sets the total mg available across the vial. Water volume sets concentration, and concentration sets units per dose.
- Mixing up mg and mcg. Tesamorelin vials and doses are generally labeled in milligrams, not micrograms — a 1,000x difference if confused.
- Reusing a unit count across a different water volume. A unit count from this chart is only valid at the exact 10 mg/mL concentration it assumes. Changing the water volume changes every number downstream.
