A CJC-1295/Ipamorelin vial's mg amount doesn't tell you how many units to draw on its own. The water volume added sets the concentration, and concentration is what converts a target dose into a syringe reading. This chart lays out that math for the vial sizes CJC-1295/Ipamorelin blends are commonly supplied in, plus the separate-vial case. Blend vials vs. separate vials

CJC-1295 and Ipamorelin reach researchers in one of two formats, and a dosage chart reads differently for each:

  • Pre-blended vial — the supplier combines both peptides into one vial, commonly at a 1:1 ratio by weight (5 mg CJC-1295 / 5 mg Ipamorelin, labeled "5 mg/5 mg" for 10 mg total). One water volume sets the concentration for the blend as a whole, and one draw pulls both peptides at once.
  • Separate vials — each peptide is reconstituted on its own and can use a different water volume. The two draws are then combined in a syringe or injected separately.

Check the vial label before reading any chart against it. A "5 mg/5 mg" blend vial holds 10 mg total, not 5 mg — that distinction changes every number that follows.

The two blend vial sizes referenced most often, along with the water volume that produces a round concentration:

Dosage chart at 5 mg/mL (10 mg or 20 mg vial)

Each row assumes the 5 mg/mL reference concentration above and shows the resulting draw on a U-100 insulin syringe (100 units per mL):

A 1 mg dose landing on an exact 20-unit mark is part of why 5 mg/mL is a common reference concentration for this blend — it reads cleanly on any U-100 syringe barrel.

Dosage chart at 2 mg/mL (4 mg vial)

The smaller 4 mg blend vial, reconstituted with 2 mL of water, sits at a lower 2 mg/mL concentration:

Neither concentration is more correct than the other. A 4 mg vial reconstituted this way empties faster if a research protocol calls for a full 1 mg blend dose, since it only holds 4 mg total against the 10 mg or 20 mg vial's larger supply.

Reading the chart against a specific vial

Worked example. A 20 mg blend vial (10 mg CJC-1295 / 10 mg Ipamorelin) mixed with 4 mL of bacteriostatic water is 20 ÷ 4 = 5 mg/mL — matching the reference table above. A 1.5 mg target dose from that vial is 1.5 ÷ 5 = 0.3 mL, which reads as 0.3 × 100 = 30 units on a U-100 syringe. The same 1.5 mg dose from a 10 mg vial mixed with 2 mL — also 5 mg/mL — is also 30 units. What changes between the two vials is total doses on hand, not the unit reading for any single draw.

When the two peptides come in separate vials

A separate 5 mg CJC-1295 vial and a separate 5 mg Ipamorelin vial each get their own water volume and their own chart. Reconstituted with 2 mL each, both sit at 2.5 mg/mL — the same per-peptide concentration as the 10 mg blend vial above, since a 1:1 blend splits evenly. A 0.5 mg CJC-1295 dose at 2.5 mg/mL is 0.5 ÷ 2.5 = 0.2 mL, or 20 units, and the same math applies independently to the Ipamorelin vial. Running separate vials lets the ratio between the two peptides be adjusted, which a pre-blended vial does not allow. Common mistakes

  • Assuming vial size sets the dose. It sets the total mg available across the vial's life. Water volume sets concentration, and concentration sets units per dose.
  • Reading a blend label as per-peptide when it's total mass, or the reverse. A "5 mg/5 mg" vial is 10 mg total, not 5 mg.
  • Reusing a unit count across a different water volume. A number from either chart above is only valid at the exact concentration it assumes — 5 mg/mL or 2 mg/mL. A different water volume changes every figure downstream.
